Carrier Sekani Family Services (CSFS) has opportunities for experienced and knowledgeable social workers to join our delegated programs. Our Guardianship and Resource Social Workers are delegated under the Community Service Act (CFCSA) and are guided by the Aboriginal Operational and Practice Standards and Indicators (AOPSI).

GUARDIANSHIP SOCIAL WORKER (Full-time)

Full-time Burns Lake, BC

Provide guardianship responsibilities to children and youth in continuing care of the Director and secure permanent, culturally appropriate and child-specific adoptive homes, working with CSFS Family Empowerment Workers to facilitate a connection between the children and youth in care with their families and communities.

Qualifications

·         Bachelor of Social Work or other Bachelor degree in a related field

·         3 years of related experience and delegation is preferred

GUARDIANSHIP SUPERVISOR

Full-time Burns Lake, BC

This multifaceted role draws on deep knowledge of social work practice and progressive experience in delegated services complemented by management acumen.

Qualifications

·         Master or Bachelor of Social Work or degree in related field

·         3 to 5 years of experience as a supervisor or manager with a broad range of experiences including managing performance and maintaining budgets

·         Practical knowledge of the day-to-day running of a program in a child and family service agency serving a large rural Aboriginal population

·         Good working knowledge of relevant statutes and understanding of how they impact Guardianship

QUALITY SERVICE AND DEVELOPMENT MANAGER 

Full-time Prince George, BC

Support and direct our delegated programs, analyze policies, interpret and monitor standards of practice within the agency.

Qualifications

·         Master of Social Work or Child and Youth Care. A related degree may be considered with extensive experience in child welfare matters

·         Deep breadth of working knowledge of governing statutes; ability to accurately interpret legal requirements to guide and advise the delegated services team

·         Experience working with quality standards and best practices under the CFCSA and AOPSI
